
Each year, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Student Recognition Awards celebrate excellence in student leadership. Students are chosen by their principals and vice-principals for their demonstration of initiative, supported by the will to succeed, the dedication to finish what they started, and the commitment to achieve their personal best.

Stella K.!
Upon arrival at Richard Pfaff Alternate Program, Stella K. immediately identified several areas of need in the school community and has since worked incredibly hard to fill them. Stella always sees the bigger picture and is eager to participate in just about everything her school has to offer. In everything she does, she embodies a thoughtful and gracious attitude, always demonstrating hard work, dedication, and a wonderful sense of humour. Stella has been instrumental in starting various student initiatives, including the Equity and Diversity Club and the student Zine, and has created an outstandingly positive environment in her activities and classes. Stella is a true leader who sets an example by showing care, compassion, loyalty and support for the people around her!
